Level & Co. is a secondary market gallery that specializes in Post-War and Contemporary art from abstract expressionism to neo-expressionism to 21st century masters.
We place blue chip artworks with private and institutional collections and work closely with advisors, galleries, and other trusted intermediaries.
Level and Co, located at 30 East 74th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is open by appointment. Our private space provides clients the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality for exclusive curated viewings.
THE TEAM
EVAN BEARD
President, Level & Co
For the past decade, Evan has worked at the cross section of art and finance. Prior to launching Level & Co, Evan launched and led the Art Services Division at Bank of America, where he oversaw a $10 billion art-secured lending business, collector advisory, and philanthropic & museum services.
Prior to this, he was a strategy manager at Deloitte Consulting, where he worked with hedge funds, private banks, art-secured lending firms and private clients.
Previously, Evan served as a U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer in Washington, D.C. and the Middle East. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master’s degree in the Classics from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, and a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
He has been an advisory board member of TEFAF Art Fairs and has appeared in documentaries such as 'The Lost Leonardo' (2021) as well as CNBC, The New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal and many others.
JENNIFER YUM
Managing Director, Level & Co
For 25 years, Jennifer has worked with collectors, institutions, dealers, and advisors worldwide buying, selling, and advising on works of Post-War and Contemporary art. During her tenure at Christie’s, Jennifer helped start the Post-War and Contemporary Art department in New York in 1999 and worked as the Evening Sale specialist responsible for winning the consignments of the Estates of Dorothy Miller (curator of the Museum of Modern Art), Clement Greenberg, the Rockefeller family and other notable collections. Jennifer was Head of Post-War and Contemporary Art for Christie’s Shanghai Evening Sale while also Head of Day Sale in New York. She then joined David Zwirner as Sales Director, establishing the Hong Kong gallery, and focused both on primary sales of the program and private sales in the secondary market. She focused on gallery artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Marlene Dumas, and Josef Albers. Jennifer has a B.A. from Boston University with honors in Art History, M.A. from Case Western Reserve University in Art History, and A.B.D. Doctorate program from CUNY, Graduate Center.
HANNAH POSS
Private Sales Associate, Level & Co
Hannah Poss joins Level & Co. from Sotheby's New York, where she was in the 20th Century Design department. There she handled pre-sale coordination for the department's various-owner sales, Single Owner collections, and private sales. She has previous experience at Christie’s in the Post-Sales department, as well as at the Whitney Museum of Art in New York.
A native of New York City, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and History from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
